It was an uphill battle for the Tigers in their first week matchup against the St. Michael's Horsemen. The Tigers were down 12-0 before quarterback Daemon Ely threw a 40 yard pass on a fly pattern to the outstretched arms of Cordova who made the tough catch in the endzone, despite the best efforts of St. Michael's second- ary, for an impressive touch- down reception. As is seen in the photo, Cordova has a habit of holding on to the football even through contact.
