FTA REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INPUT RTD Federal Trana Administration NCRTD Taos Operations and Maintenance Facility The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD), in cooperation with the Federal Transit Administration FTA), are hosting a Virtual Public Meeting to provide information and obtain your valuable input on a proposed new NCRTD Taos Operations and Maintenance Facility. The facility is proposed on a 6.0-acre vacant parcel on the northwest comer of Salazar Road and Este Es Road in Taos, New Mexico. The purpose of the project is to replace the NCRTD's existing, inadequate facility on Dea Lane with a modern transit facility that meets the NCRTD's existing and future needs. Proposed improvements include an 18,340 square foot administration and maintenance building and site improvements consisting of bus parking, visitor and employee parking, a fueling island, fencing, and Town of Taos Camino de la Merced related features. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, we are holding a virtual public meeting from Thursday, October 29th to Friday, November 13, 2020. You are invited to participate in the virtual public meeting at https://www.ncrtd.org/. The purpose of the virtual meeting is to present the project purpose and need, the preferred alternative, design features, environmental factors, funding, and the project schedule.
