THE HARWOOD ART IN THE SCHOOLS Art in the Schools school year 2020-21 will be like no previous year! AIS is the core educational program at the Harwood Museum of Art and has been inspiring Taos students for 14 years! In 2019-20, AIS welcomed 1475 student visits including 298 special needs student visits from Taos Municipal School district. Each student visited the museum three times during the school year receiving 6 hours of instruction. Covid19 closed school and museum doors before we could present our dth unit of the year It is our intention to offer virtual sessions of age appropriate, object-based experiences where the vibrant arts legacy of Taos nurtures joyful learning through the current pandemic.
