Art in the Schools will commence our twelfth year 2018-19 AlS is the core program of the Harwood Museum of Art. In 2017-18, AIS welcomed 782 students including 141 special needs students from Taos Municipal School district. Each student visited the museum four times during the school year receiving 8 hours of instruction. The museum visits are age appropriate object based experiences where the vibrant arts legacy of Taos nurtures joyful learning. The Education Department of the Harwood Museum of Art raises 100% of the funds required for our programs so that Taos Youth may receive a journey of the mind and a life of imagination free of charge.
