Her work has appeared in The Best American Short Stories. She has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Samantha teaches at THE FAMILY CHAO LAN SAMANTHA CHANG and directs Iowa Writers' Workshop. She lives with her husband and daughter in Iowa City, Iowa.
