Ensure your voice is heard: Talpa Foothills Working Group Public Comment Meetings May 15 (Mon): 5:30-8:30 pm @ Bataan Hall May 25 (Thu): 5:30-8:30 pm @ TBD The Carson National Forest is working with a team of community representatives to get input on how to best manage public access and recreation in the foothills east of Taos. Several different ideas are being considered that seek to: Provide a broad range of recreation and public use benefits Reduce conflict on trails Provide legal access to public lands to reduce trespassing Protect cultural and natural resources Provide economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable trail opportunities on public lands Help the working group develop their recommendations for equitable access to trails and public lands by providing constructive solutions-based comments on the proposed plans. Community members will have 3 minutes to provide feedback on what you like about the plans and/or your suggestions for improvement. Not comfortable speaking in public?
