Taos The CSHS 2018 summer exhibition will showcase 20 contact prints made by E.I. Couse from his photographs of Taos Pueblo models; additional modern contact prints will round out the representative images chosen from the 8,000+ negatives in The Couse Foundation archive. The painter, a founder of the Taos Society of Artists, used his photos as compositional tools. The resulting stunning images are windows not only into his process but into the life of Taos people in the early 20th century.
