AARP New Mexico works on issues that impact the 50-plus population here in the state. Those issues can have a national overview such as Social Security or Medicare or can be germane only to New Mexico such as utility requests for rate increases or mortgage protections. AARP New Mexico also is a resource for sharing information and going out in communities to provide information and resources on topics such as retirement planning, preventing identity theft, and mobility options for an aging population.
