Gayle Weisfield is an accomplished artist, talented instructor, world traveler, and a passionate student of life.
She works primarily with transparent watercolor in a style she describes as “realistic impressionism.” Subject matter ranges as far as the landscapes accurately depicted – down to flora and fauna – in her rugged, detailed depictions of the West. A world traveler, Gayle has visited five continents.
Weisfield, drawn to the magical quality of light and celebrated art community calls Taos New Mexico her home.
An avid believer that everyone is an artist, Gayle is enthusiastic about and committed to teaching, having instructed hundreds of students of all skill levels. Her workshops have taken place around the world.
Gayle attended the University of Washington, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has continued her education through teaching and taking workshops with numerous AWS and NWS instructors.
